The Houston-based Armed Citizen Project announced at the National Rifle Association convention that they want to expand their gun giveaway program to hundreds of people living in major cities by the end of the year. Kyle Coplen, the group's founder, said he believes the program -- which has already been launched in Houston and Tucson -- will help deter crime. Huffington Post: U.S. Monitoring Venezuela's Political Crackdown On Opposition, Obama Says Posted: 04 May 2013 09:30 AM PDT May 3 (Reuters) - The United States is watching "crackdowns on the opposition" in Venezuela, President Barack Obama said in a television interview aired on Friday when asked if he considered newly elected Nicolas Maduro to be the country's legitimate president. Maduro, elected in April by a narrow margin, earlier this year accused the United States of seeking to kill opposition leader Henrique Capriles to stir chaos and spark a coup. Maduro's mentor and predecessor, the late Hugo Chavez, was one of the world's most vocal critics of the United States. "I think that the entire hemisphere has been watching the violence, the protests, the crackdowns on the opposition," Obama said in the interview with Univision News during a trip to Mexico. "I think our general view has been that it's up to the people of Venezuela to choose their leaders in legitimate elections." Opposition-led protests the day after the April 14 vote turned violent and, according to the government, caused nine deaths. Maduro accused Capriles of trying to start a coup against him. The opposition says officials exaggerated the violence, and some of the deaths were caused by common crime. It accuses the government of persecuting state employees who voted for Capriles, and arresting some activists, in what it calls a wave of repression. "Our approach to the entire hemisphere is not ideological. It's not rooted back in the Cold War. It's based on the notion of our basic principles of human rights and democracy and freedom of press and freedom of assembly. Are those being observed?" Obama said. "There are reports that they have not been fully observed post-election," he added. "I think our only interest at this point is making sure that the people of Venezuela are able to determine their own destiny free from the kinds of practices that the entire hemisphere generally has moved away from." Obama held up Mexico's peaceful transition from a conservative to a centrist government last year, and flagged examples in Colombia, Chile and Peru. carne: Coniglio marinato come preparare un secondo piatto di carne May 3rd 2013, 02:28 In questa ricetta cucina italiana vi spieghiamo qual' è la preparazione del coniglio marinato  come un secondo piatto di carne. dopo aver lavato e asciugato per bene il vostro coniglio tagliatelo a pezzi grossi e mettetelo in una terrina. Aggiungete alla stessa il vino ricomprendo il coniglio, i chiodi di garofano il timo le foglie di basilico e l aglio sbucciato, lasciando tutto il preparato a marinare il vostro coniglio per circa 2 ore. passate le 2 ore riasciugate il coniglio passate nella farina, nel frattempo fate scaldare 2 cucchiai di olio  e 30 gr di burro in una padella dove farete rosolare il vostro coniglio fin quando non sarà dorato. una volta dorati li bagneremo con il nostro composto marinato e facciamo evaporare lo stesso a fuoco vivo, per circa un ora e un quarto di cottura, aggiungendo poco alla volta il nostro marinato ogni volta che sarà evaporato. Quando il coniglio sara cotto toglietelo dalla casseruola e passate il fondo della stessa al setaccio aggiungendo gli altri 30 gr di burro facendolo sciogliere, rimettete cosi la carne di coniglio marinato nel sugo e cuocete la vostra ricetta per altri 5 minuti, dopo quest' ultima operazione servite tutto caldissimo e gustate il vostro secondo di carne. Se invece non vi è piaciuta questa ricetta di cucina per il vostro secondo ecco un video di preparazione del coniglio arrostito. Per la preparazione del vostro coniglio marinato per 4 persone avrete bisogno dei seguenti ingredienti: Un coniglio 1 kg circa, un litro di vino bianco secco, uno spicchio di aglio, una foglia di alloro, un rametto di timo, qualche foglia di basilico,  3 chiodi di garofano, un cucchiaio di farina 60 gr di burro e ovviamente olio e sale quanto basta. Pasta: Spaghetti con tonno e cipolla May 2nd 2013, 17:04 Spaghetti con tonno e cipolla Un piatto di pasta semplice, da preparare in un attimo quando si arriva a casa all'ultimo momento o arrivano invitati inaspettati e si vuole imbastire una cena veloce. Per questa ricetta ho utilizzato gli spaghetti biologici Valbio. INGREDIENTI (per 4 persona) 400 gr di spaghetti 300 gr di tonno sott'olio 2 cipolle olio extravergine d'oliva sale pepe   PROCEDIMENTO Pelare alle cipolle e tagliare a metà: affettarle e farle soffriggere leggermente in una padella assieme a tre cucchiai di olio. Unire il tonno sgocciolato dall'olio, unire un pizzico di sale e pepe e far insaporire mescolando, facendo attenzione a non far asciugare troppo il condimento. Lessare la pasta in abbondante acqua bollente salata, scolarla al dente e mescolare al condimento, unendo un fio d'olio a crudo. Disporre nei piatti individuali e servire subito.
