Someone give this man a "Father of the Year" award.

To please his young daughter, software engineer Jay Perkins, of Tulsa, Okla., created a mastermind Christmas light show in his front yard in sync with the viral hit song "The Fox" by Ylvis, ABC reports.

The 49-year-old established the tradition of creating incredible light landscapes in 2005 and always begins building the productions on Nov 1.

Huffington Post: SNL Adding Black Female Cast Member

'Saturday Night Live' will be adding a black female cast member, the New York Times reported on Thursday.

The news comes after weeks of criticism of the sketch comedy's lack of a black female comic. SNL regular Kenan Thompson took heat for saying that the show couldn't "find ones that are ready" to perform.

As the Washington Post reported earlier on Thursday, the show has been holding auditions specifically for black women.

CTA and city transportation officials faced a large crowd armed with many questions and healthy doses of skepticism at an open house for the Ashland Bus Rapid Transit project Wednesday night.

Officials and staff members from the CTA and Chicago Department of Transportation enjoyed a relatively smaller, friendlier and supportive turnout the previous night at a south side open house.

But this time around 120 people showed up at the Pulaski Park Fieldhouse last night and many attendees came out to voice criticism and concern over the proposed $160 million project–and in some instances, tempers flared between supporters and detractors of the plan.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The House has passed a comprehensive defense policy bill that aims to stem the epidemic of sexual assaults in the military, cover the cost of combat pay for the nation's war-fighters, and fund new aircraft and ships.

The vote Thursday was 350-69, an overwhelming, bipartisan total that puts pressure on the Senate to act before it adjourns next week.
