Huffington Post: Geraldo Rivera Defends Alec Baldwin, Claims 'C*cksucking Faggot' Isn't Always Gay Slur (VIDEO)

Posted: 21 Dec 2013 03:27 PM PST

Um.. excuse us?

In a bizarre pronouncement by ever-colorful Fox News personality Geraldo Rivera, the veteran commentator has defended Alec Baldwin's recent homophobic outburst toward a paparazzo, claiming "cocksucking faggot" isn't necessarily a gay slur.

"I don't think are insults are equal," Rivera said during an appearance on Sean Hannity's Fox News show December 19. Rivera was chiming in to a heated discussion between Hannity and panelists Rachel Sklar and about whether or not A&E made a mistake by suspending "Duck Dynasty" star Phil Robertson for recent anti-LGBT and racist statements.

CAIRO (AP) — Egyptian prosecutors on Saturday referred the country's toppled president to a third criminal trial on charges of organizing prison breaks during the 2011 uprising, spreading chaos and abducting police officers in collaboration with foreign militants.

The new charges against Mohammed Morsi and 129 others pile on the legal onslaught facing the ousted Islamist president and his group, the Muslim Brotherhood, by leveling sweeping accusations, most of which carry the death penalty.

Huffington Post: Cuba: Raul Castro Issues Stern Warning To Entrepreneurs

Posted: 21 Dec 2013 03:57 PM PST

HAVANA (AP) — President Raul Castro issued a stern warning to entrepreneurs pushing the boundaries of Cuba's economic reform, telling parliament on Saturday that "those pressuring us to move faster are moving us toward failure."

Castro has legalized small-scale, private businesses in nearly 200 fields since 2010, but has issued tighter regulations on businesses seen as going too far or competing excessively with state enterprises. In recent months, the government has banned the resale of imported hardware and clothing and cracked down on unlicensed private videogame and movie salons.

Huffington Post: Colorado State Stuns Washington State In New Mexico To Open Bowl Season In Epic Fashion (VIDEO)

Posted: 21 Dec 2013 04:09 PM PST

For those who think there are too many bowl games, college football presents the 2013 New Mexico Bowl.

Colorado State (8-6) scored 11 points in the final minute of the fourth quarter to rally past Washington State (6-7) in Albuquerque on Saturday to open the 2013-2014 bowl season. The Rams kicked a 41-yard, game-winning field goal as time expired to seal their stunning 48-45 win. Those 11 points in the final sixty seconds of the game capped an 18-0 run that turned a 45-30 deficit with 9:35 remaining into a 48-45 triumph that brought the CSU fans in attendance rushing onto the field.

The late rally took the spotlight off Washington State quarterback Connor Halliday's trash-talking, record-breaking performance. The junior signal caller tossed six touchdown passes to set a New Mexico Bowl record. The first touchdown throw came just minutes into the first quarter and was followed by a verbal altercation with a coach along the Colorado State sideline. Rolling toward the Rams' sideline as he loosed a 25-yard touchdown pass to teammate River Cracraft, Halliday's momentum took him right into the face of a coach. The two jawed at each other, seeming to use some NSFW language, before another coach separated them, pushing Halliday back toward the field.
