According to a formal offer letter obtained under New York's Freedom of Information Law, CUNY intends to pay Krugman $225,000, or $25,000 per month (over two semesters), to "play a modest role in our public events" and "contribute to the build-up" of a new "inequality initiative." It is not clear, and neither CUNY nor Krugman was able to explain, what "contribute to the build-up" entails.

Huffington Post: Peter King: Rand Paul Would Be 'Disastrous' As President

Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) is continuing his war of words against Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), warning Wednesday that a potential Paul presidency would be "disastrous."

Appearing on MSNBC's "Morning Joe," the congressman accused Paul of "feeding into paranoia" with his views on foreign policy.

"I think his views would be disastrous," King said when asked about Paul's prospects as a potential presidential candidate. "I think he appeals to the lowest common denominator. This is an isolationist wing from the 1930s."

Huffington Post: North Dakota Fetal Heartbeat Abortion Law Ruled 'Invalid And Unconstitutional'

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A federal judge has ruled that a North Dakota law that bans abortions when a fetal heartbeat is detected is "invalid and unconstitutional."

U.S. District Judge Daniel Hovland on Wednesday ruled that the law passed last year by the North Dakota Legislature "cannot withstand a constitutional challenge."

The law would ban abortions as early as six weeks.

Huffington Post: This Really Is How 'Frozen' Should Have Ended

There wasn't a lot of active listening going on when Pabbie the troll told Elsa and her parents that she must learn to control her powers, but "fear will be your enemy." For some reason the King and Queen of Arendelle took that to mean they must lock the palace gates, reduce Elsa's contact with people, and keep her powers hidden from everyone, including her sister Anna -- all of which are the perfect circumstances to breed nothing but fear, of course.

This is the point of "How 'Frozen' Should Have Ended," an alternate ending for the Disney favorite, created by a popular YouTube channel that fixes the endings to films that could benefit from a re-write.

With "Frozen," it's pretty clear that the whole endless winter that Arendelle would eventually suffer could have been completely avoided if Elsa's parents simply embraced her powers, and just took Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters from the "X-Men" series. We mean, obvi.
