Adam Silver did the right thing. He did the bold thing. He did something that nobody associated with the NBA will ever forget.

In just his 88th day as NBA Commissioner, Silver took a stand against racism that will be long remembered as a landmark day in American sports. With emotion in his voice and righteousness in his words, Silver delivered a historic rebuke to Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling for his racist comments captured in audio recordings released by TMZ and Deadspin.

"The views expressed by Mr. Sterling are deeply offensive and harmful; that they came from an NBA owner only heightens the damage and my personal outrage," Silver said on Tuesday during a press conference in New York. "Sentiments of this kind are contrary to the principles of inclusion and respect that form the foundation of our diverse, multicultural and multiethnic league."

And that's a good thing, because now we know that awe can boost your well-being.

In 2012, researchers at Stanford University showed that when people felt awestruck, they were more patient, more willing to be helpful, and reported feeling more satisfied with life.

"We think 'awe' is really about informing people of how to be members of social communities and that's why a lot of the great awe experiences are experiences like listening to music or being part of a political rally or being part of a social collective," Dr. Dacher Keltner, co-director of the Greater Good Science Center at the University of California, Berkeley, told The Huffington Post.

Huffington Post: Flyers And Rangers Fans Brawl In Stands During Game 6 (VIDEO)

It looked like there was just as much fighting in the stands as there was on the ice during Game 6 between the New York Rangers and Philadelphia Flyers. On Tuesday night, a brawl broke out between Flyers and Rangers fans at the Wells Fargo Center and a couple of videos were posted to YouTube.

According to the description accompanied with the first clip, ushers had told some Rangers fans to leave for their own safety. Needless to say, they didn't leave.

Huffington Post: The New Kids On The Block Are Getting A Reality Show

TV Guide Network has officially ordered a New Kids on the Block reality show. The eight-episode series, titled "Rock This Boat: New Kids on the Block" will follow the group on a "vacation of a lifetime," documenting the long running NKOTB cruise.

The channel has also ordered a 30-minute casting special for the show, presumably in which everyone who was a teenager in the 1980s will scream about how much they love New Kids On The Block.

According to Deadline, the show will produced by Donnie Wahlberg. Though it is officially slated for the TVGN 2014-2015 lineup, there is not yet word as to when the show will officially premiere.
