Huffington Post: Jacqueline Bisset Looks Back On Awkward Golden Globes Speech With Queen Latifah

Posted: 22 Jan 2014 08:59 AM PST

So remember that time Jacqueline Bisset took an eternity to get to the stage to accept her Golden Globe award, then rambled on nonsensically? Of course you do, and of course, Bisset doesn't.

The 69-year-old actress sat down with Queen Latifah on her daytime talk show to reminisce about the bizarre event. Latifah, a Globe winner herself, called it "one of the most authentic moments of the night." Bisset explained how the win caught her by surprise since she was at first told her category would be announced at the beginning of the show, then told it would be at the end.

"Then suddenly I was on! I was thinking about other things. I'm thinking 'Where the hell -- why didn't I get my dinner?'" After spending two and a half hours on the red carpet, Bisset arrived to her table late when the kitchens had already been closed. "So we were tired and thirsty, and drinking, you know."
