Huffington Post: Britney Spears Feels Pushed To Be Sexy

Posted: 03 Oct 2013 09:17 AM PDT

Britney Spears revealed in a radio interview Thursday morning that she is sometimes pushed too far to be sexy and, as a mother, she makes sure to speak up.

The pop superstar called in to "The TJ Show" on Boston's 103.3 on Oct. 3 to talk about the music video for "Work B**ch." In the visuals, Spears, 31, wears skimpy outfits, writhes alongside female dancers and even uses a whip and leashes in a dominatrix role. Boundaries may have been pushed further in the past (like the sweaty mass of bodies in "I'm a Slave 4 U"), but today, as a mother of two, she is no longer so willing.

"Oh my god, we showed way more skin and did way more stuff for the video than what is actually there," Spears explained during the interview. "Like, I cut out like half the video because I am a mother and because, you know, I have children, and it's just hard to play Sexy Mom while you're being a pop star as well. ... I just have to be true to myself and you know, feel it out when I do stuff. And just let them know, you know?"

Huffington Post: Mark Wahlberg Finally Sells Beverly Hills Home (PHOTOS)

Posted: 03 Oct 2013 09:17 AM PDT

Mark Wahlberg is many things: actor, director, producer, and yes, a homeowner who tried to sell a home in Beverly Hills for literally half a decade. Well, the good news is, after five years of being on and off -- but mostly on -- the market, the place just sold for $12.995 million. It's not quite the $15.9 million he hoped to get when he listed in October of 2008, but it'll do.

Wahlberg has moved on from the 11,500-square-foot Mediterranean estate and lives in another house he built nearby. His finally-sold house sits on 1.75 acres and has five bedrooms and eight bathrooms, a guesthouse, a pool with a grotto and waterfalls and a sports court. There's also a fully-quipped gym and a full-size boxing ring, where he trained for his starring role in "The Fighter" (2010).

The Hollywood A-lister is well-known for his executive producing work on "Entourage," "How To Make It In America" and "Boardwalk Empire." He earned Oscar nominations for starring in "The Fighter" and "The Departed." But what's been his toughest role to date? Going back and getting his high school diploma at age 42, the high school dropout told The Huffington Post last month. He did it to be a role model, he said. Hats off, Mark!

Huffington Post: £1 Million London Home Trashed After 600 People Attend Facebook Party

Posted: 03 Oct 2013 09:19 AM PDT

This is the scene outside a £1 million north London home when police were called to disperse hundreds of revellers who had turned up to a party advertised on Facebook.

Catherine Seale, who was enjoying a holiday in the south of France with husband Adam, was horrified to get a call from a friend informing her 600 partygoers were destroying her home, damaging a skylight and covering the sitting room in vomit.

She had left strict instructions with her son Christopher, 17, not to throw a party while they were away, but instead he invited 60 guests to a gathering on Saturday.

Huffington Post: Fast And Furious Judge Slams House GOP Over Shutdown

Posted: 03 Oct 2013 09:20 AM PDT

WASHINGTON -- A federal judge has delayed the lawsuit House Republicans brought against Attorney General Eric Holder over the Fast and Furious scandal, taking a shot at the House of Representatives in the process.

Given the current government shutdown, the Justice Department asked this week to delay proceedings in a lawsuit filed by the House Oversight Committee accusing Holder of contempt of Congress because he did not turn over documents in response to a subpoena related to a botched operation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. The ATF operation, known as Fast and Furious, allowed weapons to flow into the hands of Mexican drug cartels. Led by Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), the House committee sued Holder to force the Justice Department to turn over the documents.

Lawyers for the Oversight Committee had opposed a delay to the proceedings and said it was "conceivable that appropriations will be restored" by an Oct. 15 court deadline. But the federal judge sided with the DOJ.
