"It is not that simple," said Dieter F. Uchtdorf, second counselor in the LDS Church's governing three-man First Presidency. Some struggle with "unanswered questions about things that have been done or said in the past," Uchtdorf explained. "We openly acknowledge that in nearly 200 years of church history — along with an uninterrupted line of inspired, honorable and divine events — there have been some things said and done that could cause people to question." Yesterday, Billy Ray opened up to "Entertainment Tonight" and talked about his famous daughter's state of mind post-breakup from Liam Hemsworth, and how her happiness is really all that matters to him. "All I know for sure is I heard my daughter say today she's the happiest she's ever been in her life immediately following [the breakup.] That's when I saw Miley being so happy," he said. "Somewhere along the stress and strain of different things I didn't see her smiling as often for a little while and all of a sudden she's like the sun, and when she smiles it's light." He added: "Everything happens for a reason and the main thing for me, as Miley's daddy, is she's happy."
