You thought snakes on a plane were bad? What about snakes on your windshield?!

A couple of Australian guys were understandably spooked when they realized a rather unusual traveler had hitched a ride on their windshield.

Ben Lehmann said he was driving home from the golf course when he first noticed the snake. Unsure of what to do, Lehmann slowed the car down, and then -- big mistake -- turned on the windshield wipers, revealing the full size of the reptilian.

On Wednesday, the activist posed naked in honor of the Transgender Day of Remembrance, a day in which we celebrate the countless members of the transgender community who have lost their lives to hate-related violence.

Oprah Winfrey and Diablo Cody are working on a new HBO comedy, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Can we set our DVR pass already?

THR reports Cody is working on an untitled comedy based Dr. Julie Holland's book "Moody Bitches: The Truth About the Drugs You're Taking, the Sex You're Not Having, The Sleep You're Missing and What's Really Making You Crazy." The book looks at the pros and cons of drugs people are offered. According to THR, HBO's series will "expose the truth about the drugs you're taking, the sex you're not having, the sleep you're missing and what's really making you crazy."

Cody will write and executive produce the series. Winfrey and Harpo Films are also executive producing. Cody's other credits include "Juno," "Young Adult" and "United States of Tara."

Huffington Post: Los Angeles Residents Are More Generous When It Comes To Charitable Giving

How generous are Angelenos compared to others when it comes to charitable giving?

It turns out that Los Angeles residents are more giving, on average, than residents in the state and nation overall. Angelenos who itemized their charitable deductions and earned at least $50,000 gave an average of 5.5 percent of their disposable income in 2008, compared to 4.7 percent nationwide and 4.4 percent statewide, according to a report released last year by the Washington, D.C.-based The Chronicle of Philanthropy.
