Huffington Post: Sorry, But This Fascinator Is Just Too Silly

Posted: 05 Nov 2013 10:22 AM PST

We all got on board with fascinators -- you know, those frilly, jaunty mini-hats that Brits love so much -- back around the time of the Royal Wedding, so much so that it seemed more and more Americans were adopting the trend. But we've come to realize not all fascinators are created equal. Case in point: the pancake hat.

The most recent brave soul to showcase the pancake hat is Dita Von Teese, who wore a white one by famed milliner Philip Treacy to Melbourne Cup Day on Tuesday. The hat's burst of bright pink blooms were a nice touch, but we couldn't get over the sheer pancakeness of it: flat, circular, titled vertically smack against her face.

Is it supposed to be flatting to one's "good side"? Cover up a bad skin day? Make it look like the flowers are blooming right out of one's head? We don't know. But maybe Dita, Princess Leitizia, Coco Rocha and a few other bold hat-wearers understand something we don't...

Huffington Post: Warby Parker CEO: How To Avoid Punching Your Co-Worker 'In The Face'

Posted: 05 Nov 2013 10:23 AM PST

Giving and taking criticism at work is never easy, but the best way to handle either is to put yourself in your co-worker's shoes, according to Warby Parker co-CEO Neil Blumenthal.

Blumenthal, who with three friends founded the online retailer beloved in entrepreneurial circles for shaking up the business of selling glasses, last month discussed the company's tradition of rigorous self-analysis in an interview with the New York Times. The founders kept on each other to such a degree that Blumenthal joked he once told a co-founder "when you shoot me a 10-page e-mail at 2 in the morning, I want to punch you in the face."

But as Blumenthal told The Huffington Post in a recent phone call, it was all in good fun. And it was part of a culture of openness and empathy that Blumenthal says has been key to the company's success. The real challenge is finding a way to maintain that same openness now that the company has more than 300 employees.

Huffington Post: Hell Yeah, Women Should Pay More For Insurance Than Men!

Posted: 05 Nov 2013 10:27 AM PST

As far as Eliza Skinner Zeke Skinner of "Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell" is concerned, John Stossel is right... women SHOULD have to pay more for health insurance than men. As Zeke explains, "Women are nuts about doctors... maybe if these gals didn't keep all their bits and pieces on the inside they wouldn't be running off to the doctor every five minutes."

Can't argue with that. Watch the entire segment above.
