Posted: 27 Nov 2013 08:59 AM PST WASHINGTON (AP) — Some immigrants who have stayed in the United States longer than they were allowed can soon apply to keep living in the U.S. under another immigration policy change quietly authorized by the Obama administration. According to a Nov. 14 policy memorandum from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, some immigrants from 37 Visa Waiver Program countries who are immediate relatives of U.S. citizens may be allowed to stay. Huffington Post: Health Care Law Seen As Troubled, But Fixable: Poll Posted: 27 Nov 2013 08:59 AM PST Very few Americans think Obamacare is successful, but most are willing to give it time to improve, a CNN/ORC poll released Wednesday found. Eight percent of the poll's respondents said the health care law is already a success, 39 percent said that it's a failure and 53 percent said that it's still too soon to tell. The law's rollout in the past two months has been plagued with issues, including a seriously malfunctioning website and the cancellation of some health insurance plans, despite Obama's earlier assurances that no one would lose their coverage. The Obama administration has vowed to fix the site, and put forth a proposal to allow insurers to extend plans previously set for cancellation into 2014. Read More... More on Health Care |
