Five Republican candidates vying to challenge Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton (D) debated Monday evening at a private, members-only club that had previously hosted a debate for GOP Senate candidates this year.

The Minnesota Freedom Club invited five Republican gubernatorial candidates -- former state House Minority Leader Marty Seifert, venture capitalist Scott Honour, Hennepin County Commissioner Jeff Johnson, former state House Speaker Kurt Zellers and state Sen. Dave Thompson. The nonprofit club, which is located in Champlin, Minn. (near Minneapolis), tweeted out their names.

According to the club's website, would-be members must pay a minimum fee of $3,000 to join and be sponsored by an existing member or staffer.

Huffington Post: White House Not Taking Sides On Claims Of CIA Spying On Senate

WASHINGTON (AP) — The White House says President Barack Obama agrees with CIA Director John Brennan that it's important to get to the bottom of whether the spy agency committed violated any laws with respect to a Senate panel's investigation.

White House spokesman Jay Carney isn't taking sides between the CIA and Senate Intelligence Committee Chairwoman Dianne Feinstein. The California Democrat alleges the CIA improperly accessed Senate computers.

Huffington Post: New Research Says Living Together Before Marriage Doesn't Lead To Divorce

It's often said that that living together before marriage puts couples at greater risk for divorce later on -- but it turns out that may not be the case at all.

A new study by associate professor Arielle Kuperberg from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro found that there is no correlation between cohabiting before marriage and divorce; instead, what may predict divorce in those who cohabitate before marriage is the age at which they choose do so.

Kuperberg explained that couples who shack up before marriage tend to be younger, and because marrying at a young age increases the likelihood of divorce, it appeared in previous research that cohabitation did as well. But Kuperberg says that's not the case; once you control for the age variable, the correlation between divorce and cohabitation disappears.
