DENVER -- Jurors in Denver have convicted a former U.S. Marine embassy guard of sexually assaulting a woman at a Denver International Airport concourse in April.

The Denver Post reports ( HTTP://BIT.LY/QDQ16Z ) jurors on Monday found 27-year-old Noel Bertrand, of Portland, Ore., guilty of felony sexual assault, which carries a penalty of up to life in prison.

In honor of National Voter Registration Day, Our Time has launched a celebrity-backed campaign stressing the importance of voting this November. In the video starring Usher, the popular singer urges potential voters to make their voices heard at the ballot box this fall.

"When you really understand the effective change that happens as a result of coming together, pooling an effort, that is when you begin to see the difference," Usher says in the video. "This is when your voice really matters. This is the time that you should engage. This is the time when you can make a difference."

Now Manga, 22, earns $10.85 an hour cutting chicken breasts on a poultry-plant night shift, an unexpected beneficiary of a year-old law designed to drive out illegal Hispanic immigrants.

This isn't what the law's backers said would happen. Republican state Senator Scott Beason, a sponsor, said at a news conference last year that the restrictions on undocumented workers would "put thousands of native Alabamians back in the work force."
