Adam Lambert pledged his support for marriage equality in Maryland before thrilling a benefit crowd with an intimate, stripped-down performance.

Headlining a benefit show for Marylanders for Marriage Equality in support of Question 6, the referendum on the state's Civil Marriage Protection Act, the openly gay pop star noted, "When it comes to these types of conversations, it has nothing to do with what religion or where your moral compass lies...everyone has the right to choose whatever religious or spiritual path that they want to choose, and that's fine. But if I'm going to respect that path, you've got to respect my equal rights."

Thought he described himself as "not that politically minded," the "American Idol" alum nonetheless called marriage equality "something that I can wholeheartedly back up."

Huffington Post: Knee Replacements Soar Among US Older Folks

CHICAGO -- Just like age-defying baby boomers, older folks have seen a surge in knee replacement surgeries, driven partly by a desire to stay active and by joint-damaging obesity.

The findings are in a study of more than 3 million Medicare patients, aged 65 and older, who got artificial knees from 1991 through 2010. Almost 10 percent of the operations were redos – replacing worn-out artificial joints.

Huffington Post: Sixing Liu Convicted In Military Data-Sharing Case

NEWARK, N.J. -- An Illinois man who worked for a New Jersey-based defense contractor was found guilty Wednesday of taking trade secrets from his employer and presenting them in his native China.

Sixing Liu is a former employee of Space & Navigation, a New Jersey division of New York-based L3 Communications. The 47-year-old was arrested at his home in Deerfield, Ill., in March 2011 and accused of taking restricted military data and presenting it at two conferences in China the previous fall. Prosecutors argued the technology was proprietary and could be used for target locators and other military applications.

Huffington Post: Former MEC Global Employee's Resignation Letter Slams Boss, Goes Viral Online

After years of "loyal service" to his company, one employee finally called it quits. But before saying goodbye forever, he wanted to get in one last word.

In a scathing resignation letter that went viral online, the man accuses his former boss of having "sexual relations" in the office and regularly making sexist, bigoted remarks.

The employee joined the London-based office of MEC Global, an international media agency, in May 2010. Although the employee notes that he owes the company a lot for "training and development," he says he leaves "with a horrible taste in [his] mouth" as his boss, whose name has been redacted from the documents, ruined the last eight months of his life, according to the resignation letter obtained by Media Bistro.
