Huffington Post: Sava! Italiano Restaurant Allegedly Pens Eviscerating Farewell Note After Closure (PHOTO)

Posted: 06 Sep 2013 09:06 AM PDT

One former restaurant's farewell note is making waves for its, ahem, strong wording, which perhaps sheds light on why customers didn't flock to its tables in the first place.

A Reddit user posted an image showing the note, which allegedly was affixed to the door of Sava! Italiano, a recently-shuttered Italian restaurant in Amarilla, Tex.

"You sorry assed, rednecked sacks of goat sperm had no idea what you had here!" reads the note. "Good luck with your pre-packaged frozen shit food in this town. Maybe you'll remember us when you're boning your sister and think she smells like pasta."

Huffington Post: How The Focus On Securing Jobs After College Is Changing The Higher Education Experience (VIDEO)

Posted: 06 Sep 2013 09:06 AM PDT

A tough economy and continually dwindling job prospects -- especially in creative fields -- means many college students are developing a laser-like focus on preparing themselves for the job market, and it may be affecting their overall education.

"Kids come in wanting to specialize from day one so that when they graduate they'll be able to get a good job," Barry Schwartz, a professor of social theory and social action at Swarthmore College, said on HuffPost Live, "and the consequence of that is they don't take the sort of general education that they have to take seriously or they don't take it at all."

Schwartz said students and parents alike are nervous because "you're not guaranteed a ticket to the upper middle class just by getting a degree." That concern has created a college climate where "an education not directly tied to an occupation is increasingly seen as a luxury," according to the Associated Press.

Huffington Post: Kim Gordon Will Appear On Season 3 Of 'Girls' And We Can't Wait

Posted: 06 Sep 2013 09:08 AM PDT

As if "Girls" fans needed any more reasons to sit on pins and needles awaiting the TV show's third season debut, Kim Gordon is here to heighten the anticipation.

The Sonic Youth co-founder announced in an interview with Slate that she will be making an appearance in the next installment of Lena Dunham's ode to twentysomethings in New York City. When asked by interviewer Seth Colter Walls if she knew Lena Dunham, Gordon simply admitted, "I'm actually on an episode [of Girls] next season."

So far all we know is that the noise rock icon is on board for one episode of the HBO hit. Will it be a flashy cameo like her past appearance in "Gossip Girls?" We don't know. We're hoping for a reoccurring character role though, perhaps another snarky gallerist à la Laurie Simmons.
