Huffington Post: Eric Wedge Suffers 'Mild Stroke': Mariners Manager Released From Hospital

SEATTLE -- Mariners manager Eric Wedge sustained what the club called a "very mild stroke," but he was released from the hospital on Wednesday and is expected to make a full recovery.

The 45-year-old Wedge was hospitalized Monday when he complained about light-headedness during batting practice.

Huffington Post: Afghanistan Justice Program Found To Have 'Serious Deficiencies' By Inspector General

WASHINGTON — An award made to an organization to promote the rule of law in Afghanistan does not appear to contain basic provisions that would allow the State Department to ensure proper oversight of a project expected to cost U.S. taxpayers $50 million, federal inspectors said Thursday.

In a letter to Secretary of State John Kerry, the Office of the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction said there were "serious deficiencies" in the government's award to the International Development Law Organization, which is based in Rome, for the Afghanistan Justice Training Transition Program.

NEW YORK -- Braylon Edwards is coming back to the New York Jets – again.

A person familiar with the situation said Wednesday night that the Jets will re-sign the wide receiver on a one-year deal Thursday morning, marking his third tenure with the Jets, before the team reports for training camp in Cortland. The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the deal wasn't yet complete and the Jets hadn't announced it.
