Huffington Post: Cory Booker Engages In 'Star Trek' Trivia Contest During Radio Call-In

Newark Mayor Cory Booker (D) put talk of his likely U.S. Senate campaign and love of Twitter aside Tuesday night to engage in a "Star Trek" trivia contest while calling into a New Jersey radio station's pledge drive.

Booker competed with comedian and "Daily Show" correspondent John Hodgman in the contest on WFMU, a Jersey City-based radio station, around 11 p.m. Tuesday. The Star-Ledger first reported Booker's late night geek-a-thon Wednesday evening, posting audio of the 15-minute interview.

"John and I know the difference between a Vulcan mind meld and a Jedi mind trick," Booker told host Tom Scharpling when he was challenged to battle Hodgman in the trivia contest.

Huffington Post: Piers Morgan's Former Deputy Among Phone Hacking Arrests At Mirror Group

LONDON -- British police made four arrests for suspected phone hacking Thursday, the first time that top editors and journalists at the Mirror group have been implicated in the scandal that has rocked U.K. media.

One of those arrested was a former deputy to Piers Morgan, the current CNN interviewer, a person briefed on the arrests said.

WASHINGTON -- The National Building Museum is hosting an exhibit about a little-known craftsman whose work with tiles graces many of the greatest public buildings, from the Supreme Court to New York's Grand Central Terminal.

Rafael Guastavino immigrated to the United States from Barcelona in 1881 and patented a tiling method based on a Spanish technique that's hundreds of years old. His company went on to help define American architecture in hundreds of buildings with decorative tile ceilings.
