Huffington Post: Joseph Kennedy, CEO Of Pandora, Steps Down As Streaming-Music Company Searches For New Chief

SAN FRANCISCO, March 7 (Reuters) - Pandora Media Inc said on Thursday it plans to replace chief executive officer, Joseph Kennedy, and that it has started a search to fill the position.

The online streaming music service also forecast better-than-expected revenue for the first quarter of fiscal year 2014.

Pandora's shares rose 23 percent in after-hours trading. They closed at $11.73 on the New York Stock Exchange.

Huffington Post: European Porn Ban: EU Proposal Seeks To Regulate Internet, Ban 'All Pornography In The Media'

A report that will be voted on in the European Union parliament March 12 could lay the groundwork for laws banning pornography across all media -- including the Internet -- and could potentially restrict civil liberties, free speech advocates claim.

The broader aim of the sweeping proposal, which was introduced by left-leaning parliamentarian Kartika Liotard of the Netherlands, is to foster gender equality in the EU by combatting gender stereotypes on many fronts. To that end, the opinion recommends a "ban all forms of pornography in the media," including what it calls "the digital field."

It also calls for the establishment of regulatory agencies with "a mandate to impose effective sanctions on companies and individuals promoting the sexualisation of girls."

The actress, who is about to release two movies and will start recording her own reality show, spoke to HuffPost Voces confessing she is not sad about the Venezuelan leader passing away, but that she wished he was "alive with cancer, and in jail. "

"I am a person who does not desire the death of anyone, I rather wanted him to finish his days in prison. That was my desire, he behind bars. But it was not what God wanted," the actress told HuffPost Voces. "Ideally, he would be alive with cancer, in jail."
