Huffington Post: 'Harry Potter' Movie Reunion? Rumors Of Theme Park Mini-Movie Hits Internet

Posted: 12 Dec 2012 10:58 AM PST

Those "Harry Potter" movie reunion rumors you've read over the last few days might not be totally accurate. The Sun reported some cast members from the "Harry Potter" franchise, including Helena Bonham Carter, had reunited to film a short film for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park, but Carter's representative told HuffPost Entertainment they weren't aware of any new project.

While Carter might not be involved in the new content being filmed for the Potter theme park, archival clips of her performance as Bellatrix LeStrange could very well be used. As Hypable notes, expansion of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter has been rumored for some time, including a new ride that would center on the break-in at Gringotts Bank. Potter fans will recall that Hermione (Emma Watson) disguised herself as Bellatrix to gain access to the bank vaults.

Whether or not Carter is involved herself, there is a good chance some "Harry Potter" cast members will be involved in the new footage. An anonymous source told The Sun that at least some members of the cast had "enjoyed" the reunion.

Huffington Post: Denzel Washington, Maggie Smith And More Nominated For SAG Awards

Posted: 12 Dec 2012 10:59 AM PST

Screen Actors Guild Awards nominations were announced this morning, and post 50 actors are among some of the biggest winners. Actress Maggie Smith, 77, leads the pack in nominations, nabbing four nods in all, while every actor nominated in the "Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries" category is 48 or older. Other notable nominees include actors like Denzel Washington, Kevin Costner and Betty White.

The nomination list just further supports the idea that older actors are running Hollywood these days. Of the 50 nominations for individual actors, 27 of the nominees are of the baby boomer generation and 41 of the nominees are age 40 and older.

According to Awards Daily, 55-year-old Daniel Day Lewis responded to nominations for the movie "Lincoln," with this statement: "What a lovely thing for myself, Sally [Fields], Tommy [Lee Jones], and the entire cast to be nominated by our guild." Sally Fields and Tommy Lee Jones are both 66 yearsold.
