Huffington Post: Borgore's 'Wayak' Video Features Dudu Tassa And Plenty Of Surprises (EXCLUSIVE)

Posted: 14 Aug 2013 09:02 AM PDT

Borgore made a big splash last year when he cast a pre-rap star Miley Cyrus as the cake-eating video girl and vocalist for "Decisions." The Israeli dubstep producer is back with another buzzy music video -- a trip to the east, care of "Wayak," a new take on a classic Egyptian love song.

HuffPost Entertainment is exclusively premiering the video above, and traded emails with Borgore (born Asaf Borger) and Tassa. "Reworking Arab music is a harmony geek's heaven since all of Arab music is written in unison," Borgore said. "It leaves you space to take these beautiful melodies in so many different directions."

As the grandson of Saleh Al-Kuwaity -- who, along with his brother Daoud, are considered among the founders of modern Arab music -- Tassa knows a thing or two about the region's rich musical heritage. He admitted being "a little hesitant" about reworking such a classic song, but was eventually convinced that it would come together in a respectful manner. "Borgore comes from the hardcore Electronic world and I was afraid that if we took it a little too far we would have lost the song," he said. "It was very important to me that the melody and the atmosphere of Farid El Atrash will stay. Borgore agreed and we took a step back to the current mix."

Huffington Post: Jennifer Aniston Sued By Contractor Over Alleged Unpaid Home Renovation Bill

Posted: 14 Aug 2013 09:03 AM PDT

Jennifer Aniston was sued by flooring contractors who claim they were not paid by the actress after they completed work on her newly renovated Bel-Air home.

According to E! News, J.R. Darnall Associates, Inc. is claiming the company was not paid after laying the cement for a deck and stairs at the star's house. Aniston owes the company $43,710, court documents reveal.

J.R. Darnall Associates, Inc. is suing Aniston, as well as other contractors, for breach of contract, breach of oral contract and for other causes of action in their lawsuit filed Aug. 13 in Los Angeles Superior Court. In the suit, the company claims it supplied labor as well as materials for cabinetry and the finishing of a concrete floor in the lower level of Aniston's home, which she shares with fiance Justin Theroux. According to documents, the contractors redid the deck several times, and were paid for each, except for the fourth go-around, which involved creating a 2,000-square-foot deck.

Did you guys know that it was Kylie Jenner's Sweet 16 birthday over the last few days? Because it was! And in light of her big day, we want to wish her a happy belated, because why not, and in the same breath, slam her fashion choices, because man. What is even happening up there? Huffington Post: 'Souvenir Nation,' Smithsonian Exhibit, Features Napoleon's Napkin, Presidential Hair (PHOTOS)

Posted: 14 Aug 2013 09:05 AM PDT

WASHINGTON -- There aren't many places where you can see George Washington's hair, a stone from Joan of Arc's dungeon and a fence rail split by Abraham Lincoln all in one room.

At the Smithsonian Institution's 'Souvenir Nation: Relics, Keepsakes and Curios,' now open in the Smithsonian Castle's Schermer Hall, you can.

The exhibit features keepsakes passed down in America through the centuries--among the more unusual are a lock of Sir Walter Scott's hair, one of Emperor Napoleon's napkins and a fragment of George Washington's coffin -- or, in the case of a magnifying glass used to examine the infamous 'hanging chads' of the 2000 presidential election, more recent history.
