Ann Curry will return to NBC's air and the "Today" show on Friday, reporting live from Aurora, Colorado.

She will cover the latest events out of the Denver suburb, in wake of the tragic mass-shooting that took place at a movie theater during a midnight premiere of "The Dark Knight Rises."

Curry will anchor a special edition of "Dateline" on Friday at 9:00 p.m., and co-host the network's weekend editions of "Today" on Saturday and Sunday with Savannah Guthrie. The network also expects Curry to report on Friday evening's "Nightly News."
