A zombie apocalypse is nigh, at least if you're in San Diego. As part of the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con, people can pay to be chased by zombies. For real.

According to the Los Angeles Times, for $70 you can be chased by a zombie mob as part of a "Walking Dead" tie-in with Comic-Con held at Petco Park in San Diego from July 12-14. It's not just running, there will be obstacles that will require participants to run, hide, slide, crawl and maneuver away from the living dead. Well, the fake living dead. The official site lists average course completion time at about 35-45 minutes, but the event is not timed and not a race.

"We wanted fans to experience -- as closely as possible -- the end of the world," Robert Kirkman, "The Walking Dead" mastermind, said.

Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.) gloated about Republican Governor Scott Walker's "landslide" win in the Wisconsin recall elections while speaking at CPAC Chicago on Friday.

"Mr. President, did you hear Scott Walker won in a landslide?" Paul said, according to The Hill. "It's hard for me to say that without gloating."

Paul echoed the sentiments of many who believe Walker's defeat of Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett (D) set the stage for a tough 2012 presidential battle in the Badger State.

KABUL, Afghanistan -- Afghanistan's president said Saturday that the United States failed to consult Afghan forces when calling in an airstrike that killed 18 civilians, and warned that in the future his government will consider such actions as violating the country's pact with Washington.

NEW YORK -- An Orthodox Jew who was weeks away from becoming a New York City police officer says he has been kicked out of the police academy for refusing to trim his beard.

Litzman is Hasidic and believes that cutting his beard is forbidden by God.
