Huffington Post: Rescued Pit bull Fights Terrorism In Africa (VIDEO) Posted: 12 Aug 2012 10:00 AM PDT A rescued pit bull puppy is now headed to Africa to fight terrorism. In March, Michael Bullock, a Greenville, S.C.-based dog handler, found a pit bull puppy in a warehouse -- tied to a wall with wire and left to die. Bullock immediately took in the emaciated puppy, named him Binnie, and began caring for him, WITN News reports. He soon noticed that the dog was quite talented. "We noticed that he liked to play ball. Wow, let's see if he'll hunt, retrieve, let's see if he'll be possessive. And sure enough he qualified in every area that we look for. Wow!" Posted: 12 Aug 2012 10:03 AM PDT EL CERCADO, Spain -- Fierce wildfires forced the evacuation of thousands of residents and were threatening some of Spain's most precious natural parks, including one that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, officials said Sunday. Fires on the Canary islands of La Gomera and Tenerife led to the evacuation of more than 4,000 residents beginning late Saturday and the cutting off of many roads as precautionary measures, the regional government said.
