Huffington Post: Concerned Women For America Mocks Sandra Fluke

Concerned Women for America fired a few insults on Wednesday at women's health advocate Sandra Fluke, who is slated to introduce President Obama at a campaign event in Colorado.

"We celebrate the fact that Sandra Fluke is gainfully employed so she can pay for her own contraceptives," said CWA president Penny Nance in a statement. "Until now, Ms. Fluke and Julia have been the poster children of the Obama administration; it's all about what kind of free stuff they can get from the government."

Since Fluke was infamously denied the chance to testify before Congress in February about the medical importance of contraception coverage, the recent Georgetown Law graduate has become one of the nation's most well-known advocates for the preventative health coverage provisions in the Affordable Care Act. Nance compared her on Wednesday to Julia, the online character created by the Obama campaign to illustrate how the president's policies help women throughout their lives.

"Portlandia" stars Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein definitely fall into the latter category, so they decided to take matters into their own hands and protest the games.

Not that there was ever a huge chance of Oregon hosting any massive international sporting events in the first place, but, ya know, better safe than sorry.
