LAKELAND, Fla. -- Detroit Tigers third baseman Miguel Cabrera will miss at least a week after being struck in the right eye by a hard grounder.

Cabrera received eight stitches, but Tigers President and general manager Dave Dombrowski said Tuesday that Cabrera's vision is "perfect" and he won't go on the disabled list.

The "Real Housewives of Orange County" is back for a seventh season and one of this year's cast members, Tamra Barney, is saying the season is all about freedom, fun and, of course, fighting.

"I tried last year to bury the hatchet with Gretchen [Rossi] and we tried the year before that, so we have been trying for a long time," Tamra tells me. "So far we have success. Before, a lot of our fighting was from outside influence and being on the show, they love fighting. But now we hang out when we are not being filmed. We went for dinner before I came to New York."

As well as making friends with Gretchen, Tamra hopes to have another lady in her corner this season by bringing on a new housewife, Heather Dubrow.

Huffington Post: Votrient, Rare Sarcoma Cancer Drug, Backed By FDA Panel

WASHINGTON — A panel of cancer experts overwhelmingly backed the approval of a GlaxoSmithKline drug for a rare type of tumor, noting there are few other treatment options for patients.

The Food and Drug Administration panel voted 11-2 that the benefits of the pill Votrient outweigh its side effects, even when considering that it did not significantly prolong life for patients with soft tissue sarcomas. The vote is not binding, but the agency usually follows its recommendations.

Huffington Post: Mexico Earthquake 2012: 7.6-Magnitude Quake Rocks Mexico

The Associated Press is reporting that a "strong" earthquake has hit Mexico City.

CNN's Rodrigo Javier also confirmed the earthquake, noting that CNN Mexico's newsroom has been evacuated.

Reuters reports that a 7.6-magnitude earthquake struck near Acapulco, Mexico. Meanwhile, the US Geological Survey has recorded a magnitude of 7.6 in Oaxaca, Mexico.
