Posted: 08 Nov 2012 10:55 AM PST Colorado voters passed Amendment 64 on Tuesday night taking the first step toward legalization of marijuana for recreational use in the state, the problem is that the drug is still illegal federally. Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, although a vocal opponent of the measure who said "Colorado is known for many great things, marijuana should not be one of them," is trying to figure out exactly how to proceed with this historically unprecedented situation which could trigger a constitutional showdown between the state and federal government. A nine-year-old Ukrainian boy spent nearly $4,000 at a candy store in Konotop, Ukraine on Nov. 7, according to Russian and international news agency RIA Novosti. The child stole the money from his parents who kept their life savings under their sofa. "The disappearance was first spotted by the father, a shift worker who had just returned home," said a local police officer. "He opened the stash and saw that it was empty." Read More...
