"Their unique styles, beautiful ornamentations and designs fascinated me," he told The Huffington Post in an email, a sentiment that is clear in the artist's work, which radiates with creative energy. Posted: 27 Feb 2013 05:52 AM PST The surreal theft of a Salvador Dali painting in broad daylight came to a realistic conclusion in court when publicist Phivos Istavrioglou recently pled guilty to stealing Dali's "Cartel de Don Juan Tenorio" from Venus Over Manhattan Gallery in New York. Istavrioglou, a 29-year-old from Athens serving as Moncler's international press office manager, grabbed the 1949 drawing from the gallery walls, placed it into a shopping bag and simply walked out. The thief then fled to Greece, yet when he realized his face was caught on surveillance camera he panicked, sending the pricey work to JFK in the mail in a cardboard tube, dorm-poster style. Authorities tracked down fashion-forward criminal thanks to fingerprints left on the shipment, which matched prints from a separate incident of a juice bottle being stolen from Whole Foods market, according to the Guardian. An investigator posed as a gallery owner offering Istavrioglou a position to lure him back to New York. Read More... More on Video |

Posted: 27 Feb 2013 05:55 AM PST Keira Knightely, Kerry Washington and Kelly Rowland have another thing in common besides the fact that all of their names begin with the letter "K." These three gorgeous stars have mastered bedhead hair. And I'm not talking about that hop out of the bed and shake it out look we all seem to rely on when we've hit the snooze button way too many times. I'm referring to that roughed-up (in a good way) hair. For her most recent turn as Marie Claire cover girl, Knightley sported bedhead hair with a rock and roll edge. Meanwhile, Washington has been making the red carpet rounds for "Django Unchained" wearing her shoulder-length haircut perfectly tousled. While former Destiny's Child member Roland balances out her new blunt bangs with loose waves. Ben Skervin, the man behind Knightley's Marie Claire bedhead hairstyle, shares his step-by-step instructions on how to get the look. Prep wet hair with a light foaming air mousse to build volume. Then rough blow-dry using your fingers to make the hair appear less finished. Next, create a side part (or you can comb your bangs forward like Washington and Rowland), add a rich moisturizing hair product like Vidal Sassoon Pro Series Color Gloss Creme and scrunch into the ends of the hair. This helps to create those soft, yet tousled waves, but if you need a curl boost, wrap one-inch sections of hair around a clipless curling iron. To finish, set the style with extra firm hold hairspray. Read More... More on The Beauty Page |
