Posted: 13 Oct 2012 09:09 AM PDT Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner keep their daughters busy. Not only are Violet and Seraphina big sisters to 8-month-old Samuel, but the girls play soccer and do ballet. Plus, according to their famous dad, they know how to kick some major butt. Garner picked up her youngest daughter, Seraphina from karate class on Oct. 12, and the 3-year-old not only looked cool in her uniform, but appeared to be extremely focused. And Affleck says that's the whole reason why he enrolled the girls in the course. Read More... More on Celebrity Kids |
Posted: 13 Oct 2012 09:16 AM PDT Three Tennessee high school football players have been charged in the rape of a 12-year-old girl who became pregnant. Princeton Harlan, 18, star quarterback at Mt. Pleasant High School in Maury County, was arrested on Wednesday morning. The names of the two other accused teens, ages 16 and 17, have not been released because they are juveniles, according to WKRN. Detective Anthony Bailey told the station that the football players each had sex with the girl in separate incidents last summer. He added that he doesn't believe they forced her against her will to have intercourse. Because a 12-year-old cannot legally give consent, however, the teens can be convicted of child rape even if the sex was consensual. Read More... More on Video |

Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-Ill.) is reportedly the target of a new federal investigation. Huffington Post: 'Argo' Box Office Strong, 'Sinister' Surprises: Friday Grosses Posted: 13 Oct 2012 09:33 AM PDT "Argo" has done something few films this year can claim: Connect both audiences and critics in unison. Ben Affleck's Oscar favorite opened with $5.3 million on Friday, according to estimates reported by Variety and TheWrap. That puts Affleck's film on pace to earn close to $20 million for the three-day weekend, a number which will continue to grow throughout the remainder of 2012; audiences gave "Argo" a rare "A+" grade on Cinemascore, meaning word of mouth should be spectacular. "Argo" wasn't the only new release to succeed on Friday evening. The low-budget horror film "Sinister" actually beat all films on its opening night, earning an estimated $7.4 million. The thriller, starring Ethan Hawke, received a poor "C+" grade on Cinemascore, but should still gross near $18 million for the three-day weekend -- a huge windfall for a movie that cost just $3 million to produce. The weekend's other new releases didn't fare nearly as well: "Here Comes the Boom" with Kevin James opened in fifth place with just $3.6 million; "Seven Psychopaths" landed with a thud in ninth place with just $1.3 million; and "Atlas Shrugged Part II" grossed just $692,000, opening outside the top-10.
