Posted: 23 Oct 2012 10:45 AM PDT A bedridden, obese woman who was rescued by a HAZMAT team from her Warren, Mich. home after she was found living in a home containing feces and maggots died Monday at a local hospital. On Tuesday, morbid obesity and complications from multiple injuries were determined as the cause of death, which was ruled accidental, according to the Macomb Daily. Authorities have not determined whether they will file charges of neglect. The 41-year-old woman, whose name was not released, had been in the hospital since last Tuesday. Researchers calculated the ice thickness for 171,000 glaciers worldwide, excluding the Greenland and Antarctic ice sheets, which hold the bulk of Earth's frozen water. Through a combination of direct satellite observations and modeling, they determined the total volume of ice tied up in the glaciers is nearly 41,000 cubic miles (170,000 cubic kilometers), plus or minus 5,000 cubic miles (21,000 cubic km). Posted: 23 Oct 2012 10:52 AM PDT WESTMINSTER, Colo. -- Police are saying that the abduction and killing of a 10-year-old girl in suburban Denver this month is connected to a kidnapping attempt against a young woman earlier this year. Authorities aren't releasing any details about that link but Westminster investigator Trevor Materasso said Tuesday that they're looking for a suspect in connection with both cases that they describe as "a light-skinned man" between 18 and mid-30s of average height and build.
