Adele fans will get a pleasant surprise before the year's end because the British songstress recently revealed that she'll release a new song in 2012.

"There will be a new song, probably coming out at the end of the year," Adele told French radio station NRJ. "But then it depends how quickly I write some other new songs."

However, Adele was quick to shoot down claims that there might be a new album to accompany the 2012 single. "It won't be for a good two years ... I have to write it. It takes a while."

Johanna Quaas, 86, isn't taking old age lying down. Instead, she's taking it spinning, jumping and twirling -- on the parallel bars, no less.

Last month, Quaas wowed the audience at the 2012 Cottbus World Cup in Cottbus, Germany, according to the Post Chronicle. Clad in a green leotard, she performed exhibition displays on both the floor and parallel bars.

Though the white-haired wonder has won 11 medals in senior gymnastic competitions, MSNBC reported, she currently practices gymnastics "just for fun."

Huffington Post: Federal Judge Declines Unions' Request To Block Consent Agreement

Detroit -- A federal judge today declined to issue a restraining order sought by city union leaders to halt action on a proposed consent agreement between Detroit and the state.

Judge Arthur Tarnow instead set a hearing for 2 p.m. Tuesday for both sides to present their case.

Huffington Post: DirecTV Los Angeles Subscribers To Miss Out On KTLA, Gossip Girl & More

Because of a contract dispute between DirecTV and Tribune Broadcasting Co., DirecTV subscribers in Los Angeles have had no access to channel KTLA since Sunday.

Because KTLA is an affiliate of CW Television, Los Angeles DirecTV subscribers will also be missing out on CW shows like "Gossip Girl," "Nikita" and the series finale of "One Tree Hill."

Tribune Broadcasting-owned channels were also blacked out in 18 other markets, including New York, Chicago, Denver and Washington D.C.
